Noisy and conspicuous bird.
Comes for a drink to our swimming pool.

He reminds me of the African kingfisher we saw in Cape Town, but yours is prettier :) Also, a bit like a Kookaburra - are they the same family I wonder?

Sheila, perhaps in this picture, but I do not think they are related. BUt...do not know my birds good enough to know for sure. They do make their presence known, though.
