great idea, do you have a "how to"?

Here is a quick how to.....
Front and back 15cm square
Roof 15cm x 18cm
Roof 15cm x 19cm
Bottom 15cm x 10cm
Bottom 15cm x 13cm
Panel pins to nail together
Wood ideally 1.5cm in thickness
Hole 25cm dia for blue tits (bigger for other birds RSPB web site for more info on sizes)
One panel screwed together for access/ cleaning out in late summer.
Position on a north or north east facing wall, fence or tree. (Not south facing, to much sun) Think about cat's when sighting the box. Then fingers crossed someone will move in.

thank you!! will make good use of that info (one day!)
There was a nest-box on the fence here, facing south, but behind a tall shrub that must have given it some shade when in bloom - it was taken down because the fence had to be replaced last week (casualty of the weather: the panels were flapping against each other, I seem to live on the corner of a wind tunnel).
I don't know if I've got any north-facing wall or fence - this is a semi, with next door being north, so I've only got south-ings. But given time sure I'll find locations to try, and then see if they get used. Don't want them too close to the house, so they don't get disturbed, but would like to be able to see if they do get used.
