Daphne odora

Most of the blooms are open on this plant, my other one probably won't flower until the end of March. The grow kind of spindly in containers unless you cut them back a ways in Spring. This one is fuller than my other one but I grow them mostly for the winter flowers.

Yes it is, I love the scent of daphnes and Daphne odora has a scent that is unique compared to the others. I knew I didn't have a chance of growing one outdoors here but after hearing so much about this daphne I had to order one to try. I have tried growing a few daphnes in containers and many of them do not grow very well but this one has been very easy, I am amazed by its tolerance of heat and drought.
