Hoverflies on Cytisus Bantandieri

Well captured are they eating those small black things on the pods.

I'm not sure what the black things were but I expect they were tiny flies or something so possibly they were eating them.
I've tried many times to get photos on here & until your comment had not realised I'd finally managed it. The photo was taken on 3rd March 2010 - how quickly the time goes!
