You can see a very long queue of people buying fruit trees in the garden centre which had just opened its season. Saturday 8th March.

Hi Klahanie. Yes, they are waiting at the cashier. Queues are not reality here anymore, don t worry. This queue was surprise also for me! I have never seen something like this at the garden center. But people were listening to prof Hricovsky, who spoke by microphone and his voice was heard all around. He spoke about all sorts of fruit trees and how healthy they are, which are resistant to parasites, what should everybody has in his garden, etc. so the advertisement filled its goal. ;-)

Yes, they have large plantations all around, several square kilometres, growing mostly apples, pears and small fruits. They have there also their grocery with fresh vegetables. I think people realise how important it is to be self reliant as in nineties we lost almost half of our own production.

Is the long queue at the cashier? I remember standing in line for everything in 60ties. Good time to buy a bare root fruit tree.
