Gladiolus violaceolineatus

Gladiolus violaceolineatus (Glagiolus violaceolineatus)

I forgot to post this at the end of January when it was flowering. It is a winter growing type that I am able to grow in a pot outside. It came from seed.

Thanks! What will be nice is the daylily I won on eBay last night - Dragonfly Dawn. Take a look at www.trimmerdaylily.com for what it has produced for them.

But you know that I have no problems sharing seed ;)
Last fall I saw on the LilyAuction that seeds using Dragonfly Dawn were going for up to $25 per seed!! I am hoping for a couple of flowers this year, and if I'm lucky at the same time some on Whale Tails.

I know you don't Wylie I've the greenhouse full of seedlings to prove it lol :-)))so exciting.
OMG the crosses you could make the lovely 'Core Values' and 'Life is a Highway' of yes!! 'Whale Tails' would be stunning I bet,you have so many gorgeous ones now the possibilities are endless, you'll be running round with the paintbrush like a man possessed lol, I would be ;-).
$25 per seed!!!, mind you the fact that so many keepers are being produced by it its not such a gamble getting a good one.
Still excited lol ;-)

It is a single fan, so it may or may not flower this year - fingers crossed!

My new plants came today and the bonus was 'Ledgewood's Born Free'. 'Guarding Gnomes' was supposed to be a single fan, but I received two pieces of 1 fan and 2 fans.

While the photo on Tinker's is nice, the breeder (Abajian) has a better photo on the AHS site. I bought 3 plants from snapdragonplants on eBay, but they have been in transit for over a month now. I sent them a message yesterday to say they haven't arrived, but no response yet.

O h yes just looked see what you mean much better picture.
Have you heard back from Snapdragon yet? they're usually really good, know I had a few wrong plants from them and they said they'd give me my money back if I wanted to return them but actually they were quite nice plants so I kept them and I did manage to id two of them, that's where I got the not 'Diane Taylor' from ;-)they were selling another recently that looked very like it, meant to go back and check it out.

I opened a case, and they got right back to me. I requested a refund because I have wasted a lot of time being available and waiting for either the mailman or a delivery service to come by. There was a change to mail that has special handling. It was switched to a new delivery company - I got some new trainers from eBayUK, and they had trouble finding my house even though the number is on the mail box and in 3" numbers over my front door. I also bought some CD's from Presto Classical in the UK, and that has been 3 weeks since they shipped, but not arrived. My new daylilies arrived from Germany with no problems, just the Royal Mail.
