Hi simbad thanks, my mom bought it me last year, replaced sundance which always looked tatty after winter might protect it though if we have any bad winters, hasn't been too bad this year has it :)

I've had this in my garden for 10 or 11 years Daylily and it didn't suffer with the cold winters at all so sure yours'll be fine :-).
No thank goodness about time we had a mild winter, trouble is everything's growing so quickly and I've still got lots of dividing to do.

Yes still got lots to do was just reading about your question you.put on about sparkler and was surprised it didn't survive as mine has been in the garden two winters previous to this one I wonder if they are short lived but then I have had stuff that is hardy and doesn't survive its strange really but that's how it goes sometimes isn't it. I also noticed you divided your stipa gigantea was that successful? (I've been looking through the 'plant pictures page' and saw yours) :)

Lucky you Daylily maybe just didn't like me lol, I couldn't decide whether to plant it out or leave it in a pot after reading it wasn't hardy so i potted it into a big pot maybe it would have done better planted out?
Oh yes the stipas done brilliant it split into two huge plants and both flowered lovely the same year really I could have split it into four as both are huge again, best time to split them is spring , love stipa they look good for so long :-)
