The seed pods look like string beans, and stay on the tree all summer, giving it an odd look.

These attract bumblebees, and on sunny days there is a steady drone of them. The seed pods get to about 6" long.

They are strange though , Wylie .
David Attenbough has a series on Watch channel at the moment showing the amazing methods that plants have adopted to get fertilized . Well worth the searching for , even OH has been transfixed ( and that is a rare occurrence).
