Kalmia latifolia 'Big Boy'

Big Boy mountain laurel. Leaves are much larger and thicker than standard Kalmia latifolia, nearly as large as rhododendron leaves. I've had this for 3-4 years now and this will be the first time it flowers. It has always grown well but dogs and chipmunks have damaged it the past few Springs. The buds on this will be pink and the flowers will be light pink.

I expect the chipmunks are as annoying as the grey squirrel is in my garden... and loft space too! :o(
