Mahonia aquifolium with winter burn

I have this planted in a protected area but the wind seemed to come from every direction this winter. It's funny how the top is so brown but everything below the snow line was protected. All the mountain laurels around it are fine but this and the rhododendrons don't look the best coming into Spring.
