seems to be a lot of greyish growths - no idea if this is normal for this plant

\ hadn't thought of having two of the same kind, Dorjac - or maybe two variants of one kind, as this is blooking later than the other. Maybe it was mroe severely pruned than the other one, or maybe the placement makes a difference.
I'll check my "photo file" and compare the early pics of the Quince with how this looks now.
hmm, would they cross-pollinate?

There are some dried up dead fruits on this one Fran, so def: a quince, later because of severe and much needed pruning.

ah,right, thanks Dorjac! I can name another shrub now.
Should I take the old fruit off or leave them?

They are probably better out of the way Fran as they shelter earwigs, ants, woodlice and other pesky insects with long names that do mischief to other plants.

Another quince Fran? Well pruned by the looks of it, blooming later.
