i planted this in a narrow bed along the fence..it looked lovely against the faded grey wood...

i think so, too...i ordered it from a catalogue, so i didn't know for sure what it would be like...i love pastels...

I have grown some from seed [the larger species] I found them very easy to groww and the come back every year;0)

hi, Pansyspotter...until i found these in the catalogue, i didn't know there were dwarfs...they seemed resistant to rust, but something got to them...do you spread the seeds against a wall? how's the humidity in your area? our summers are very hot and sticky..rain gives no relief whatsoever...maybe i'll try some seeds for the large hollyhocks this year...i need so many plants right now, it would be nice to buy seeds for something!

Hi Pat we have lots of rain! I grow my seeds in trays on the indoor window sill then plant out when they are around 3-4 inches high, Iusually grow the large variety and they have come back again eacjh year. Good Luck;0))
