Aubretia grown from seed last year, didn;t get round to pricking them out, so just planted the whole lot straight from the seed tray.

Hi Scottish, it saves a lot of time, and you can always thin them out later if you want to, Derek.

Is Aubrieta perennial? I tried to replant it several times, but next year it never grows up again...

Hi Katarina, yes it is a hardy perennial, there are 12 species, and they are all perennial, and all fully hardy, it could just be your soil they don't like, they like a moderately fertile, well drained, preferably neutral to alkaline soil, in full sun, and should be trimmed back after flowering to keep them compact, Derek.

Thank you very much, Derek. Next time I will plant them on a full sun, that might be a problem with my previous attempts.

I've a wee pot of Primula seedlings that I'm thinking of doing the exact same with.
