A job I didn't get round to ooops cutting back the dogwood but I don't mind this year, its covered in flower buds and love the new foliage when its starts to open :-)

Oh heck yes Dawn you don't want to fall in that pond!!! I have a similar worry on my hands and knees cutting that thin strip of grass round ours lol.
No its not that vigorous seems to get to the same size whether I cut it or not and I like to see the flowers now and again :-)

Oh Kathy, there we are teetering on the edge, I've often nearly gone in, lol.
My mid winter fire is a kind of standard, love the colour through the winter. I cannot remember for the life of me where it came from.

Looks so nice. I think I have this one but mine is still 'bare'. If its nots a vigorous one, I wouldnt worry, mine common ones, by the pond are never cut, too awkward being on the pond bank.
