Had this only 8 years , really happy as all the books say 15 to 20 years to produce bracts , photo not that good will put more on as they develop

I know how you feel - I have a Strelitzia nicolai that I started from seed, and I keep saying, it will have a flower next year. Finally, after 10 years, it has started to put one up. I can see it getting bigger - but it is 10 feet up the stalk, so no touching. Look forward to seeing yours develop.
