My neighbour gave me this planter so have put the Stipa Gigantica in it. Its has been remarked this resembles a Victorian style planter so cheers to the Saxe-Coburg Goths everywhere : /

Looks really great, very old and unusual ... Nicely planted. The thing that really caught my eye Stevie, I acquired an old planter a few months back, it too is very old and has quite similar pattern on it. Take a look at my photo (no. 5) if you have a minute.

I have planted a Stipa G. into the garden last year and this year it looks like it's growing well, would like to see how your one fares in this planter Stevie??

Stevie, is your Stipa in flower yet? Had mine for two years now and no grasses as yet!

No I thought it was just about to start before I planted it up. But yes, I mean no, nothing yet and doesn't look like its going to. Maybe just putting on more root. It was a very tight in its last pot so maybe that why it flowered the lat couple of years. But not fussed it looks good like this anyways : )
