Rain today, but this opened anyway. TET, 6", evergreen
This has an extended throat. It blends into the main part instead of looking applied.

Love this one, I like the ones with petals that curl back like this they make the throat look even bigger, if that makes sense :-)

I agree, and it helps when the petals don't touch [gaposis] so the whole explosion of the throat is more prominent.

Navajo Princess is the one that springs to mind here, I've only seen it flower once though, bought it just before those cold winters and it really suffered, its recovered now so hopefully this year, typically last winter I remembered to mulch it, the one year it didn't need it :-)

Navajo Princess has an eyezone, something this one doesn't have. It seems to take after Cobraskin Necktie, except that is an applique and this is extended. It does remind me of one, but I cannot remember which one it is.
