Pretty colouring, you have some stunning iris Lemondog :-).
I'm waiting on one opening sent to me by a GOY member 2 years ago, it should hopefully be nearly black but we're not sure yet as it was growing quite near a few others, fingers crossed, last year it had one flower spike which was broken by something so didn't get to see it, this year its increased like mad and has 6!!! can't wait :-)

The first buds about to open maybe tomorrow :-) but its definitely not going to be black looks more of a lemony colour,all will be revealed soon :-)

Yes it is :-) its white with yellow beard very frilly can't beat your 12 flowers!!!! bet that was quite a sight but it does have 6 open today, I added a picture last night don't know if you'll have any idea what it is ? suppose iris are a bit like daylilies lots that look similar :-), it is a very tall one around 3ft, I'll add another picture of the whole thing see what you think, whites quite hard to photograph well though isn't it?
