Love this plant, it doesn't care for acid soil, but it's so pretty! Not fond of the big yellow ones you see growing wild, but this is such a lovely colour.

They are a lovely colour Michaella did you grow them from seed or did you call into your favourite store for them lol :O) I really like them :O) and you are so lucky to have roses out, well luck doesn't come into it really, it is your cleverness of planting in just the right spot which makes them produce flowers for you so early. :O)

Thank you both so much for your comments. Barbara, I bought a small plant from a garden centre about two years ago, it is spreading nicely now, as for the roses, I think they are just happy being left alone to do their own thing.

ROSES LEFT ALONE! I AGREE 100 PER CENT WITH YOU MICHAELLA. THE MORE YOU CARE FOR THEM THE MORE SICK THEY GET. DID I KEEP MY PROMISE TO DO NOTHING TO THEM THIS YEAR? I AM AFRAID NOT. I HAVE ALREADY SPRAYED THEM TWICE AS THEY WERE ALL COVERED WITH GREEN FLY. NOT ONE FLOWER BUD TO SEE YET.

Gosh...that's early to be spraying the roses....but then again, it's so much warmer where you are. I've no aphids as yet thank goodness. :) no buds either though!

That's lovely - like Karen, they don't like the conditions here.
Karen, pay close attention, I've had some aphids appear over the last couple of days!!
