I don't put them in my compost bin either..another lesson learned ! I hate the untidy foliage after flowering though..it will be chopped off,anytime soon....doesn't seem to make any difference to them coming again next year..

Yes they are absolutely lovely when first in flower ~ such a pretty blue, but I agree with you Bloomer the foliage is just so untidy... I think I'll chop it all off , especially if it doesn't do any harm to the flowers coming again next year ;o)

It's never seemed to affect mine,Petaltracey..and it's the only one I don't let die down naturally..I usually find baby slugs or snails hiding under it..another good reason ! :o)

Love this shade of blue,Paul..I've just dead headed all mine now,before they self seed..I have more than enough :o)
