Hi karen its been in there for 2 years now and it was half that size, I would hope it might grow another foot or so but not sure :))

They look lovely together,Daylily..I gave my Weigela the chelsea chop last year,and it's growing back so well..no flowers yet though,unlike yours..

Hi bloomer I usually prune this after flowering same as philadelphus, did you prune after flowering, mines mostly buds at the more not quite open :))

Yes, I think they should be pruned after flowering too...but that would make end May about right....strange it's not re flowering.

Yes,I do prune it after flowering,but only lightly..It has been in a long time,and some of the stems were quite thick and woody,so I took them out..all this years foliage is new from the bottom,and looks good,but maybe it will be at the expense of flowers this year..we will see..I will post a photo if it does :o)

Hope it flowers for you, sometimes they need a good prune when older, but at least its got the lovely foliage if not :))

Ps karen I have had the lilac 4 years but was in a pot to start with then been in border about 2 years I think :)

Your lilac must be fully grown now is it Daylily? It's lovely! I shall have to move mine if this is how big they get!
