Thank you, I was in Scotland this week and returned on Saturday night. A beautiful countryside. But too cruel weather and cold hotels.

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that the hotels were cold. It is one of my 'soap box' topics I'm afraid. I am absolutely ashamed of the standard of hospitality in our country. There is far too much room for improvement. Please do feed back your disappointment on Trip Advisor, or things will never improve!

I am not sort of person writing complaints. If I do not feel somewhere well, I will never come back. You are right. Restaurant in the hotel was terrible, very slow, they mixed up foods, didn t bring us what we ordered, altogether it took 2 hours to have a lunch there. Never more, lol. It was, by the way, 4 star hotel in business center of Glasgow. But I would recommend restaurant Picollo Mondo to everybody! Fantastic waiters, food, vines, atmosphere. It has been the best Scottish-Italian restaurant in the UK for several years.https://www.google.sk/maps/place/Ristorante+Piccolo+Mondo/@55.858952,-4.262308,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x190260d0acee3776

Lol! last time we stayed overnight in Glasgow City there was a fight in the bar between two women resulting in a bloody face and the police attending. We just went in for a night cap! We turned around and went to bed...locking our room securely!

I understand Katarina....I just wish things would improve in that business. It's embarrassing. Especially for a country that relies so much on visitors. If you go five star you might get good service and warm comfort, but it should all be like that!

Fortunately, we didn t have this experience and we visited three or four pubs. People were noisy, as pub should be, but no quarrels or fights. But we heard that the worst day is Friday.

What embarassed me more, and please, do not take it as impolitness, but as honesty - your people look undernourished. Really, young people were awfully pale, very thin, as if they didn t have enough food. But food in Scotland is really very expensive. You can get in restaurant half of portion of what you can get in Central Europe for the same price. That is a pity, because in fact you have a lot of fish and beef around :-)

Hi Katarina....it's true. A lot of the less well off people in Scotland look undernourished. Which proves that you can eat as much rubbish as you want and still starve yourself to death. There is a lot of poverty in our country and a lot of poor dietary habits....and a lot of drug and alcohol abuse.... sad to say. Combined with the fact that the Pictish and Celtic races are both small built....and it all adds up to small and undernourished people. I often see people in cities who I am quite certain must wear childrens sized clothes, pushing buggies around. The life expectancy is less in Scotland than in England..I heard on the news today.
