My new Jane Philips has a bud Janey! I'm like you..wish I had room for more. I might have to remove more grass in time!

I love Irises, too. Have one that I planted beside the stream and was worried that it wouldn't make it through our tough winter...but it has buds!...Called Double Your Fun, it has yellow falls and a soft mauve cup. It's ahead of my Siberians! I have the blue scented one, with the variegated foliage as well...can't remember it's proper name just this second. (I think it's Iris pallida) quite tough little things.

Yes it really is a beauty Gunnel and highly scented, which I think is unusual for an Iris.
