Dipelta Blossom

I love this time of year as the old Dipelta tree bursts into flower. The tree as in the garden when we came to live here, its a wquite an old species not often seen very often these days.

At least 14 ft Karen, rather a wild sort of appearance, but Im not complaining with such a great show of blossom;0)

It's lovely. It looks a bit like a big Wiegelia, doesn't it.

How tall is it Carole? I'm interested as you call it a tree and I think of this as a shrub. Isn't it great when you inherit lovely mature things like this? Gorgeous!
