Does it translate to 'Pretty little Dortmunder'? Or has my German all gone to pot completely?! I am perplexed on Rose names....are they named differently according to the country they are sold in, or do we buy completely different Roses to everywhere else in the world because we don't understand the names of 'foreign' roses? Its a baffling question.....

This one was bred in Germany, that is why it has German name. Name of the rose is international, if it is registered as a new breed. I think Peace/Gloria Dei was exception done by war as breeders in the US didn t know if some of the canes survived in Europe. But maybe I am wrong.
