Daylily - 'Don Herrell'

Last year I said this was defective because it first gave a 4-petaled flower, and then a 5-petaled one before being normal. This year it has extra whorls, giving the effect of trying to double. Lucky for me, Strikingly Dramatic, which regularly has this, was also open and available for crossing.

The real purple shades are hard to find, and I like its combination with the pink.
