The I. Double Your Fun is the first to bloom, behind and to the right are I. pseudacorus, and the tall Siberians.

That's very true, Karen! we had about 4 hot days with warm nights and BOOM! everything is up and doing.... I'm really thankful for this because the long cold spring was beginning to wear me down. June started with warmth but yesterday and today have been wet and coolish. It's cool enough in the house for a fire, today. The summer heat is coming though, tomorrow or the next day, according to the weather bureau.

Gorgeous colours. Homefires burning here tonight and last night too Lori.

Our basement is very cold when the central heat is off...the little stove helps keep the budgies warm and our floors from feeling like ice. the space would make excellent cold storage but it's too damp. We have to keep a dehumidifier running most of the time. Otherwise it can smell musty and that's not healthy.
