You may have better luck in Yorkshire than you had in France, M. At least I'm hoping for you! I just love irises in all their different guises and recommend them enthusiastically. There are repeat bloomers now, so they last a little longer into the season...but I still enjoy the "regularios" for as long as they last. I think my growing season is a bit short for the repeaters, so that's another reason to stick to what I have.
Thanks Karen...I love these and they were the first to bloom! I have mauve and magenta ones...and a very deep dark purple one...but all the others are still in tight bud. Even the siberians! The rescued I. pseudacorus have established well and from two bedraggled plants I now have a healthy largish clump! They say that they will become invasive as the seasons pass...I say...BRING IT ON!! They're yellow...can't wait. Have a siberian var. called Butter and Sugar..yellow and white and they have buds too.

Hi Lori, I am a bit of an irisaholic I too have Double you Fun, but yours looks much cleaner than mine. The falls of mine are splurged with muddy marks, but it could be all the rain we have had!

Hi Siris! Nice to meet a fellow sufferer! They don't mind the rain, do they? I'm so pleased, because at present, some of the siberians, and most of my standards are starting to bloom...while DYF is almost finished! Will have to put up a pic of the streamside garden. This is it's third year.
