South African perennial up to six feet tall. Although most watsonias are tender, this one is a bit tougher and will survive a heavy soil. It was planted in April last year in heavy clay - and so far is relishing it.

Nice one Andrew!
I have a couple of good sources for Australian and SA species seed if you're interested.

DD - most of the ones I saw growing in the wild there were four to five feet high.
Sarah - it came from Desirable Plants. Their website is www.desirableplants.com/index.html. It's listed in the South African section.
Meanie - yes please. I've found one for Chilean seeds as well, but they are out of stock the one plant I really want :-(

I'm sure that you're aware of Scampton Succulents.
From ebay I'm happy to recommend the following;
In SA is Bulbophiled

The next two are from Oz...........
Discovery Bulbs and Seed

Kennis Koala Seed

I've saved the (Bitly) links as "Ebay.com" - make sure that when you cut and paste them to your browser they show as .com and not as "Ebay.co.uk". If it does default to Ebay.co.uk just edit the address in the bar to read Ebay.com
