Thanks Jane and Holly, it's grown far too big now and has to pruned hard each year. It has started to take light from the front lounge window. I do like it though and it hides the brickwork.

I like this plant as well but unfortunately so does the deer. I inherited one growing on a low retaining wall and do not have to be worried about it getting too large its munched on all the time. I took a cutting and planted it close to house. So far they have not found that one :-)

Klahanie, have you ever managed to photograph deer in your garden. If so, I for one would certainly love to see them. I am sure you probably consider them to be pests, bit like the grey squirrel over here. A squirrel has recently eaten all Wendy's figs, off her potted tree.

Thanks for your interest Alan. My Hubby is in the war with a grey squirrel as well. Unfortunately the squirrel is winning .
Few pictures of deer on the GOY from last year . They are beautiful animals but so many. They do not have any natural predator around here..

I have a couple of these and at long last, after 10 years, they've started to cover the walls and look pretty good, first year I've actually had to prune bits off!!!, I love them great plant :-)
