This is a beauty Wylie, did you do any crosses with it today?

I got this one just 2 months ago, so I am letting it build up strength. Instead, I have been using Amethyst Island with the (Angel Fairy Tern x Judge Nancy sdlg) and Strikingly Dramatic.

You always know the best ones to cross, that combination sounds great :-)
'John Benoot' nearly fully open ;-) love it that shimmery gold edge is glistening in the sun yes the sun its stopped raining, for now anyway, 'All I want for Christmas' open too Gg, that's lovely too fab red and it looks like its diamond dusted too, pictures later :-), I even have a flower open on 'Edge of Darkness' which normally has every flippin flower attacked by gall midge, it was threatened with the compost last year, wonder why they seem to love certain varieties?

It's all in the routine: I go out with camera, tags, and paper to take photos and make crosses. Then I enter the new crosses on a document file. When a cross fails, I delete it so I can reuse the number.
When I think about making a cross, I ask myself, could it be an improvement? I think a larger patterned Amethyst Island coloured flower would be an improvement. I stay away from doing Yabba Dabba Doo x Buster Ruster because they are too close. I also don't do much with the Dan Hansen flowers because I am sure he is already doing it and why duplicate his efforts.

Just an update - I had to correct the name of this one. I got an e-mail this morning saying that the person who had sent this as a bonus plant realized that he had received the wrong one. He thought it was Ledgewood's Born Free, but it is Open My Eyes. He said he will send a new bonus plant in the spring.
