Sitting-out time again!

It's like we are at the starting line, in the starting blocks...just waiting...not long now before it all explodes in to colour!

Yes - it's hard not to get a bit impatient! But then we miss what's going on at the moment. Which, in my garden, seems to be not a lot! Though of course, that's not true, because - as you say - everything is gearing up.

The first of my new roses flowered today.....well, nearly! :))

Excellent! Your new garden really does look lovely. You must be so pleased with it, and so glad to have all that space, and no close neighbours. I'm sure you'll enjoy the summer!

I sure will! OH doesn't want to go to work in the morning because it's so lovely. You know, it took me over 20 years to persuade him to move away from the built up places, and the other day, on the way home through the suburbs he said "you know, I really don't 'get' streets any more" I could have wept, but I just laughed instead! ;)

It looks so secluded and peaceful, Susanne.

We are fairly peaceful here. There's a school field over the wall, so at lunchtime it's quite lively! And PE lessons, of course. But the school site is large (there are two schools), with a wood so there are lots of birds. And, of course, evenings, weekends and holidays are quiet. It's nice not to be overlooked. The garden is higher than the field, because there used to be railway line just over the wall, down an embankment. And we have a nice borrowed view.

Don't imagine you've done much sitting out today!

Actually - we were out for a couple of hours! It's been a very unusual day here weatherwise. The rain was heavy but not prolonged until this evening. In between, it was hot and sunny and everything dried very quickly.
