Drying out after all the water.

Just muddy paths now with a few puddles remaining, amazing where it all came from and where it has all gone to. The plants look a bit sick as they are covered in mud, now me thinks a little light shower would wash them clean but anything else can stay up in those big grey clouds. Sun is shining at the minute so all helping with the clean up.

Oh dear! That's quite a mess isn't it. Not like you can get the hose out either. Never mind, it will sort itself out. I can't believe how bad it was, and over so fast!

Its looking better with all the sunshine and brushing I have done today. I did think a little shower would help clean it up but it only needs a little drop of water to help the mud lift. The weight of the water settled in the top of my little green greenhouse and pulled it apart, had to go and get rid of the water then put it back together again, sprained it badly but it is still standing with the help of a strong cane or two. lol :O) All the more reason to get a proper greenhouse, I will tell Paul tonight. lol :O)

Quite right!! I was very lucky indeed. I sowed new grass seed in two huge bare patches, planted three new plants in the Golden Border and dug a bit more over...and it threw it down, so I've not even had to water anything in. Bright and sunny again now....who'se a lucky girl eh? Feeling ever so sweaty today, so I think the bug is on it's way out now.....can't wait!

Oh! The grass does look muddy, good job you have stepping stones so you don't chew up the grass. A good dose of sunshine will make us all feel better.

I think it is getting back to normal if looking a little grubby because of the mud. We had a lovely day yesterday, clouds were white and fluffy and the sun shone for most of the day, all helping to dry us out. :O)

I think that sunshine might have taken over by now - I hope so.
It still looks very pretty to me even after the rain and I am sure it looks wonderful now in the sunshine.

Thanks Wildrose, just been saying the pelargoniums (the only non-perennial plants allowed) were covered by the flood water, do not think they will flower for me. They look proper sick, very muddy, I was tempted to sprinkle them with the watering can but its that wet in the border I dare not do it. Instead I took my temper out on the twitch grass in the woodland border. It made me feel better. lol. :O)

When we got home snails had completely devoured a new phlox, three new lilies and some petunias so I took my temper out on them!!!
