Found a name tag next to this plant - so I guess its a Chrysanthemum - I might be wrong - trouble is the slugs keep moving the name tags!

Those silly slugs. Who are they trying to kid? I second cosmos. Mums are late summer/autumn bloomers.

poor little creatures - looks like they are to be blamed for everything.... I am sure they'd tell you that's cosmos - if you only would treat them better, lol.
