I am disappointed that this is not a better blue on my acid soil

Can't you water it with something? Or does nothing help to 'blue-ify' it?

Have you tried adding aluminum to the soil ? Here in North Carolina, my soil is naturally acidic, about 5.8 and my hydrangea serrata 'Bluebird' is just alittle more blue than yours. Hope that helps...
