Large deciduous shrub to ten feet for sun or shade.

It carries a reasonable number of flowers, but is not loaded with them. They are fairly small for the size of the bush, but carried prominently above the foliage. Although the shrub is not fussy about soil or position, it is not a tidy grower, and can be a big ungainly. I find a bit of 'cosmetic' pruning in the winter is necessary to keep it looking respectable.
