I used to love this as well in my old garden. Yours looks bigger and stronger though! :)

I bought two plants only one has a flower, although the other was stood where all that water was after that last storm. It is beginning to pick up now so maybe later on it will flower.

I had these too - they are lovely. I lost mine to the 2012 floods! Glad yours is picking up.

I don't mind a drop of rain because it saves me watering but think we have had more than enough after todays little downpour. lol :O) never happy us gardeners lol but I do like to potter around and it rained that hard the water was stood all around the garden again. :O(

That looks very interesting! Do the flowers open up more than that?

I have no idea melchi, but do not think so. It is a new one to me this year. Think Karen had it in her other garden, she would be able to tell you. But think it is one of the smaller flowering types. :O) it is very neat though I am waiting to see a bee trying to get into the flower for pollen. Bet it will struggle, I do have others with bigger flowers for them though. :O)

No, that's how they are. Very small and tight. But the bees seem to manage to get in. Mind you, there are some bees that are smaller of course. I guess it's nice for them to get first turn on any flower...and not have to wait till the bumbles are done!

yes it is, hope to see one trying to get in soon, its been a nice day here again after all the rain again yesterday. Planted some seedlings up into pots and some bigger plants out in the border today. The Hemerocallis Golden Chimes is coming along nicely got 32 so far so plenty of plants to put in and send to you eventually. The parent plant is just starting to flower :O) I was looking at the seed pods of the aqualegia the two tone one they are not ripe yet but when they are (if I catch them in time) I shall send you some of that also. Do you want any more of the 'blue ballerina' or did you get some come in your wild flower border. Those aqualegia seeds you sent me, the white one and the yellow one are growing in seed trays, well the white one is doing really well the other only three or four seedlings showing through just now. Hopefully more will get going. I have been quite successful this year with seeds and plants. :O)

That's great! I would like some of the blue aquilegia please Mum. no sign of them in the wildflowers. However, there's time yet. Once the poppies are over, I will pull them out, then we'll see what's left.

I hate to say it, but we could do with some rain here - it's all beginning to look a bit dusty!
26 Jun, 2014
We had some the other day so no rain needed here, we had a really heavy shower again, water was stood but soon went down again. :O) its surprising where it all comes from and where it all goes to. :O)

It's rained quite a lot today - not heavily, but steadily. I could hear the water butt filling from indoors. Music to the ears!
