As soon as I saw this, I thought to myself 'I wonder is rosa persica is a parent'? After doing a Google search, the answer is 'yes'.
Rosa persica (now renamed hulkinia persica) has a red blotch in the centre, and breeders have been trying to introduce this feature for several years. It looks as if they have finally succeeded. I look forward to hearing how this rose performs spritz, as R. persica is shy to flower in the UK (our summers are not hot enough for it).
