Beets are good. Home grown beets are 100 times better.

Absolutely! I'm really looking forward to my tomatoes. They seem to be taking forever to go from green to red, maybe it's just me.... :)

Yes, you are very fortunate to be able to eat home grown tomatoes year round. We have the 4 seasons here in New York so it's one of those summer things I look forward to.

Tomatoes are commercially grown in parts of San Diego County in winter...just like in the Imperial Valley of California.
