This tree unfortunately was past its peak in flowering. I saw photos from this tree from early May when it was so covered with flowers you couldn't see the leaves on the tree. This tree rarely blooms so early; however, with the very warm to hot weather from December to May it bloomed very early. Photo taken June 28, 2014 at Fullerton Arboretum.
