Me too - must get some!

3 Jul, 2014

I would send you some but after reading how much it is to send a parcel by the post office these days I am sorry to say that will be a no no. so sorry Andrew. Do not know if you read it but one of our contributors went to the post office to send plants and it was not a very heavy parcel and they wanted over £11 to send it. Amazing how on earth do they expect to keep running.

No problem Olive - just bring a piece when you come to visit! :-)

lol :O) I will Andrew. lol if only I dare drive my 12 year old Corsa that far I certainly would - do not think it would make it that far. It has been a good one but its beginning to fall to pieces I keep saying I need a new car but no-one is listening. lol. I need to win the lottery. lol along with a lot of other folk I am sure. lol :O)

Thanks Melchi it is - it shapes itself I just put in a small piece about three years ago and it has done what I like them to do and spread. lol. :O) saves me buying other plants to fill in the gaps. I keep thinking that some of them are taking over but they do look nice at this time of year in blocks of colour. Not planned I can assure you its just how it happens for me. :O) Plonker gardening is always best for me. :O)

I love Inula...it is my favourite yellow Daisy, and I still don't have any!

Not "plonker", Barbara - call it "serendipity" (much prettier!)

this is true Melchi.

Karen they would look nice in your golden border near the hedge though they can be invasive :O)

Rodney Trotter in "Only Fools and Horses" was a plonker. Are you comparing yourself to him Olive?

Oh that programme was so funny Andrew lol :O) do not think I am quite as bad as Rodney though lol :O) plonker as in putting in the plants anywhere is how I garden lol. :O) only problem is I then have to move them at some stage because most of the time they are never in the right place. lol just occasionaly do I get it right first time. I am getting better though. lol :O)

It takes a long time to grow a gardener! :))

I love these plants, ours grows very large, but I am not sure which variety it is.

I have a very tall one which is Inula Helenium, much stronger stemmed plant, wrongly labelled and I could not believe the height it got to over 5ft tall. It was labelled as a Primula Vialii. You can imagine my face when it grew to this height, Karen found out what it was called for me. lol :O)

I do my best! ;)

You are very clever and do not let any one tell you otherwise, except perhaps with other peoples roses lol :O)
