Slightly different angle but it was so beautiful I just kept snapping!

We had a very heavy shower at tea time, as we ate our tea sat under a large umbrella, the dog sheltered under my seat. We had to give in but not until after we had scoffed our food. lol. We did get a little damp and shirts had to be swapped but eh ho it is England we live in. lol.

It does look like that Wildrose but I can assure you there are thugs and poor plants which have been swamped by them so I have given over worrying what is strong and what is not, the garden is allowed to do its own thing for some of the time. lol. It is at its best from about the third week in June until end of July. Although every season has a star at some stage or another. :O) I set out to try to get some colour in every month of the year. Think I have about managed it at some point or other in the borders if not in all. lol. It always makes me wonder how on earth it goes from literally a few yellow daffs and little crocus and snowdrops to being a mass of colour like at the moment. I just love how nature kicks in. :O)

I know exactly what you mean. In February I always think that the garden couldn't possibly be like it was last summer but somehow it manages it with a few losses and gains along the way!
Our garden is better in April and May really but we have tried to improve it for the later months but the end of July could be disappointing I think!

Think for me this year is one of the best because we have had such a great mixture of sunshine and showers, no tap water used on any of the borders and they are showing off for the rain that has fallen. Great not to have to drag the hosepipe out. :O) Hope you are not too disappointed with the July garden, it has time to pick up for you still :O)

It's a lovely garden, and looks so good.

Thank you Melchi, hope it lasts for a little bit longer, we had wind blowing the plants all over the place yesterday, even though they have supports in between they were tending to lay down. Better than rain though that does spoil flowers doesn't it!

Yes, it does - especially the large ones like peonies. I always know the rain is going to start when the peonies open!

It hasn't been too bad here so far, rain mostly at night apart from the downpours early in June. So I can live with it, the rain is saving me from having to drag out the hosepipe so that is good :O)

We have been very lucky here - just enough rain to keep most of the plants happy and the water butts filled. We've had lots of sun as well and some of the plants are really responding well.

Yes its not been a bad summer so far Melchi, here's hoping for more of the same for the rest of the year. lol I can cope with the amount of sunshine we are getting if it doesn't get too hot, not a fan of overhot weather. Nice this morning, shower over night and the forecast is for it to get into the 20's cent. today. I shall melt. lol :O()

It's heating up here at the moment as well.
I can cope with the heat as long as I don't have too much to do (!) I've never enjoyed sunbathing and am happiest sitting in the shade, looking at a sunny garden.
Yesyerday we waved goodbye to daughter, s-i-l and grandson after a long weekend. We had a big family party on Sunday, the sun shone and it was fabulous. There were 22 of us! Today I am doing NOTHING!!! We really did enjoy ourselves. Son no 1 couldn't make it, sadly, but that was always on the cards, and we'll be seeing him soon. William enjoyed himself so much, running round "cheers! -ing" everybody with his plastic mug, and high-fiving! How soon they grow up. And our new little granddaughter was handed round to all her relations for a cuddle. Our d-i-l's parents were here too, and it was really a very happy afternoon.
But today, I am doing - as I said - NOTHING!!!

Happy doing NOTHING day Melchi you deserve it after feeding and entertaining 22 - have a good rest day :O)

Really lovely because everything is in place and isn't fighting for more space, it must be at its best at the moment - so pretty.
