Somebody at the GoY website was able to distinguish different clouds by names, I guess, if he left this site or is still present.

I'm reminded of a song by Judy Collins: "I really don't know clouds at all" Nice photo

Yes, you are right, Homebird, I think it was him who knew a lot about clouds and what their shape mean for the forecast.
Melchi, bravo!! :-)
Bathgate@I do not know Judy Collins, but I like Adele and her interpration of Skyfall. She has Great Voice. Unfortunately, we havenĀ“t heard from her anything new since that time. I d not know what has happened with her.

I like Adele, she has a great voice. Judy Collins was big in the 60's and 70's she was a folk singer but had a great voice. She wrote/sung a song about clouds called "both sides now" You can pull her up on You tube.
I'm not dating myself, sometimes I listen to oldies.

What a lovely picture. These are cumulus, sometimes called "fine weather" clouds, but sometimes they come before rain clouds. They make lovely shapes and are great for cloud-watching. The other day, I saw cirrus or "mares' tail" clouds. They are very high clouds, and we don't often see them here. I always think of them as indicating very fine weather, but on googling them, found that they often herald a change in the weather.
My unfavourite clouds are stratus - low, grey and boring!
