Bomarea edulis (hirtella)

Bomarea edulis (hirtella) (Bomarea hirtella)

I put my Bomarea edulis in the ground in the spring and it's a far better plant. I have it growing into the Philadelphus so that as the flowers on that go over the takes over.
Just hope that it's as hardy as I was told it is!

I love the flowers on this vine. Terrific-looking buds.

Putting it in the ground has certainly unleashed its true potential Delonix. It also frees up space to grow one of the more exotic species too.

I bet...there's always a new exotic plant to grow. :>)

"there's always a new exotic plant to grow."

I know - I like the look of B.multiflora (syn.B.caldassii).

Always! LOL! :>)

The exotice vine I want to get is Cobretum coccineum. It has beautiful scarlet flowers in clusters.

Here's a photo...you commented on it a few weeks ago.

I remember that one!

Check it out. It's such a tropical, beautiful, exotic vine native to Madagascar. It's not common here...not like Combretum fruticosum (Orange Flame Vine), wich is much more available.
