Osmanthus for Bloomer

That is doing so well,Shirley,thanks for the photo.:o) It looks great by your wall..I suppose the one at the other side looks just as good....mine is slowly catching up,I hope..Are they in pots,or in the gravel?

I think it's a lovely plant, and it does seem to grow quite slowly. :))

Sandra, the other one is not as high as this one yet ... they are in the clay soil beneath the gravel and the membrane ... a tough job to plant anything as I have to cut a cross in the membrane then battle my way through the clay ... grr!

Karen ... I pass by a house on the way to Mums where there is an Osmanthus about 5ft. high ... lovely!

I like these, they always looks so fresh. Might be able to find space for one when I revamp the end of the garden - (project for autumn/winter!). It's good to know its growing well in clay, Shirley.

Yes I have one, but it's getting smothered by a large Hypericum. I'm going to move it in the autumn.

I could do with one, Shirley! I moved a conifer a while back and it didn't survive the move :( - but it does mean a have a bit a spare space and I have just ruthlessly dug up a Chilean potato vine that was a complete failure. My daughter is taking me to a nursery next week so I am looking out for replacements :)

Conifers can be tricky if moved, can't they Gee? Shame yours didn't survive, but every cloud has a silver lining ... good luck at the nursery next week!
