Now, this has just reminded me. My friend's daughter did a project on hydrangeas at school, for her science class. She discovered that not all of them turn blue when fed with acid compost. Some of them just go a horrid muddy brown colour. I thought this was interesting and wondered if anyone knows which varieties do this?
