Large Carol Mackie Daphne that I'd guess is over ten years old. This was taken at the nursery I used to work for and I stood behind it to show just how large it had gotten. Once they reach this size, the branches start to split causing it to sprawl out more.

I meant, how did you manage to grow it so huge?

I didn't grow that one but the biggest thing I have found is sandy soil. They have another large one on a sandy berm and that is how I have been growing mine too. The one I have is only a few years old so isn't that large yet but it has been growing quickly.

It is really a large one. Yes, right location is a key to success in most plants.
