A wonderful rose.

This rose is the only one in my new border that hasn't performed well. Its had one flower so far and hasn't grown much at all. I can see a cluster of buds forming, but I do hope it is better next year. The one I had in my last garden was terrifice in its first year, but miserable the next year. It is an absolutely stunning Rose though.

What a shame - I have two, in different parts of the garden - both doing really well.

That's good to know. Clearly it isn't the plant that's at fault then. We'll see how this one does next year when it's got it's roots down better. Thanks B.

I'm sure it'll be fine. :-)

Just bought this one in a pot (standard)online, it was a terrible rose, never seen such a disgraceful sample, the company were very apologetic and offered to replace, but sold out, so we had our money back, and they told us to bin it!! well OH has cut it back, sprayed it, given it new compost and a support.......waiting to see what happens next, it will find a place in the border in November...
B I fell in love with it when you first bought it, it was the colour that did it for me.......
K no it was NOT Style roses.......they only had bare root to be delivered in Nov to March and we wanted to put it in sooner rather than later....

What a shame, Dd! You never know, all that tlc might work wonders. Fingers crossed for you (and it!)

Phew! Thanks for that...I was worried! You read my mind! Hope it recovers...if the roots are ok, it may bounce back!

Have you fed it? I've only just fed all mine with b, f & b.

26 Jul, 2014

Yes OH has just fed them all...
