No, not this tree. LOL! :>) Although, it's very widely grown here in California for it's drought tolerance. In the Los Angeles area you see many huge trees growing along the freeways (they were planted, though).

The seedlings grow easily and very fast; however, it needs regular watering to grow from seed. We just don't receive any rain during summer.

Yes, it would most likely would naturalize in many areas here...that's if it rained in summer.

We already have so many weed trees, though. The worst one is Brazilian Pepper (Schinus terebinthifolius)...I really don't like this tree. It kills many trees which grow next to it...and nothing can grow under it. The roots produce some type of toxin to other plants.
