Gladiolus 'Ruby' - 2014

Tough gladiolus, likely to be hardy in milder parts of the country, growing about three feet tall. The bad news is that it spreads by underground stolons, so in light soils could become invasive.

I planted gladiolus papilio a few years ago, and it rapidly took over. It took a couple of yeas to get ever last little bit of it out.
I am trying this one on the side of the garden with clay, but near a fence to give some winter protection. I'll let you know how I get on with it.
